BETHEL, Connecticut — Police say the fire that killed one person in southwestern Connecticut is the second fire in the past two months at the home.
Firefighters say the Bethel house was engulfed in flames and fire was burning through the roof when they arrived Thursday. Firefighters found the body after bringing the fire under control.
Officials say that person was apparently the only one inside the home at the time of the fire.
Police say they also rescued a man from the home on April 8. He was taken to Danbury Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The victim's identity hasn't been released and the cause of both fires hasn't been determined.
