WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he wants to make sure that college is affordable for all Americans.
The president says he's concerned that foreigners are able to "out-compete" American workers and he wants the United States to "lead the world in education once again."
The remarks came Thursday during Obama's Summit on College Opportunity at the Ronald Reagan Building near the White House.
He says he doesn't want businesses to look anywhere other than the United States for their workers. He says that requires that American students gain skills that are in demand for today's workforce.
