MONCKS CORNER, South Carolina — Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing of a man during a home invasion in Berkeley County.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office told local media Monday that 29-year-old Glenn Randall Lane II of North Charleston and Matthew Grainger, whose age and address were not released, have been charged with murder after the Sunday morning home invasion in Moncks Corner.

Investigators say two other people were with Lane and Grainger when the group confronted and shot 32-year-old Mark L. Connor of Summerville. Authorities say Connor died at a hospital of a single gunshot wound to the hip or leg area. Investigators believe that Lane knew the occupants of the home.

Lane was arrested Sunday night, while Grainger was arrested late Monday following a standoff at a home in Knightsville.
