AMSTERDAM — Feyenoord failed to capitalize on several good chances Sunday as it played out a 0-0 draw at Ajax in a tame edition of Dutch football's fiercest rivalry.

The stalemate left Eredivisie leader PSV Eindhoven, which won 2-1 Saturday night at Cambuur Leeuwarden, with a six-point advantage over Ajax — which is second, ahead of third-place Feyenoord.

PSV weathered early pressure at Cambuur before taking the lead when captain Georginio Wijnaldum headed home a cross by Jetro Willems late in the first half.

Memphis Depay doubled PSV's lead in the 74th minute with a clever looping header over advancing goalkeeper Leonard Nienhuis, before substitute Daniel de Ridder scored a late consolation goal for the home team.
