ST. PETERSBURG, Florida — Pitcher R.A. Dickey has been activated from the bereavement list by the Toronto Blue Jays, who have recalled left-hander Rob Rasmussen from Buffalo and have selected the contract of right-hander Todd Redmond from Triple-A club.

Dickey's father, Harry Lee Dickey, died last Tuesday at age 63, and Dickey was placed on the bereavement list Thursday.

Rasmussen is 4-1 with a 2.93 ERA in 21 games with Buffalo. Redmond has a 11.88 ERA over 8 1-3 innings in three appearances with the Blue Jays this season and is 1-2 with a 4.81 ERA in 10 appearances with Buffalo.

Toronto made the moves Monday, a day after optioning pitchers Scott Copeland, Phil Coke and Ryan Tepera to Buffalo.
