LANSING, Michigan — Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed John Matonich of Davison as the new chairman of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission.
Matonich has served on the seven-member commission since 2010. The commission regulates hunting and fishing.
Matonich is the chairman and CEO of Rowe Professional Services, a company specializing in professional engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture and aerial photography.
He replaces JR Richardson of Ontonagon as the NRC chairman.
Matonich's term on the commission expires in three years, but he will serve as chairman at the pleasure of the governor.
