SOUTH KINGSTOWN, Rhode Island — Two men were taken to the hospital after an explosion and fire at a South Kingstown home.

WPRI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1SQV88W ) that agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration, as well as a hazmat crew, were on the scene Friday. The men had undisclosed injuries.

State Fire Marshal John Chartier says investigators know for sure there was an explosion and they're trying to determine the cause.

A neighbor 911 called at around 6 a.m. Friday to report the fire. The flames were quickly knocked down.

Crews from several surrounding towns also responded.
