WOBURN, Massachusetts — A Peabody man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a Billerica man during a home invasion motivated by drugs.
Peter Bin received a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole Monday in Middlesex Superior Court for the July 2012 shooting of Quintin Koehler. He was convicted of first-degree murder last month.
Authorities say the 27-year-old Bin was one of three men who forced their way into the home looking for drugs.
One inside, they were confronted by Koehler and his brother. Koehler was shot during the ensuing struggle.
Another man, Gabriel Arias, of Lynn, was sentenced to five to seven years in prison for lying to police about his involvement in the plot.
Two other men, including the alleged triggerman, await trial.
