The Bulls turned Miami's seven first-half turnovers into 12 points and took a 42-26 lead into halftime.
A jumper by Ford made it 49-32 with 16:57 remaining, but a 21-7 run pulled the Redhawks within three, 56-53, 4-½ minutes later before a 7-0 run cut the deficit to 69-67 with 2:37 left.
Regan converted a four-point play about 30 seconds later and Buffalo made 6 of 8 from the free throw line in the final minute to seal it.
