GULFPORT, Mississippi — A federal court jury has convicted a 66-year-old Mississippi man on multiple charges involving more than 20,000 pictures and videos of children engaging in sexual acts with adults.

The jury in a three-day trial in U.S. District Court in Gulfport, Mississippi, found James Allen Myers guilty Wednesday on six counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transportation of child pornography.

Authorities say Myers had lived in North Port, Florida, where at least three of the children he photographed and videotaped lived.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1ofODSO) Chief Judge Louis Guirola Jr. will sentence Myers on Nov. 4.

Myers faces up to 80 years in prison. Each count of child pornography is punishable by up to 10 years.
