TUCSON, Arizona — Authorities say there's been a fatal shooting outside a business on Tucson's north side and it appears to be gang related.
Tucson police identified the victim as 30-year-old Diego Valdez. They say she was shot about 7:45 a.m. Friday.
Southwest Ambulance was already on scene when police officers arrived after someone flagged down the medics.
Police say Valdez was transported to the University of Arizona Medical Center, where he died.
Witnesses say a suspect in the shooting was seen fleeing from the scene and remains at large.
They say Valdez and the suspect were in some kind of altercation before the shooting occurred.
Police say the shooting does not appear to be random and may be gang related.
