DORAVILLE, Georgia — An animal shelter in Doraville is trying to find homes for dozens of dogs and cats after learning it must move.

Officials at Animal Savers Rescue recently learned zoning laws allow an animal clinic, but not a shelter, at the current location. The organization is trying to find new owners for dozens of cats and dogs. WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1DJiG9R ) the clinic must close by the end of the month.

The animals at the clinic arrived from other shelters around metro Atlanta that euthanize stray pets.

Shelter officials say they hope to reopen after finding a new location.
