    MOREHEAD, Kentucky — Karam Mashour scored 21 points on 9 of 16 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Morehead State to a 72-57 win over Tennessee State on Thursday night.

    Brent Arrington finished with 13 points, and Anthony Elechi and Angelo Warner both added eight off the bench for the Eagles (11-14, 6-4 Ohio Valley).

    Morehead State shot 53 percent from the field, including hitting 10 3-pointers, while holding Tennessee State to 36 percent. The Eagles also won the rebounding battle 34-30, and are plus-66 in rebounding margin over their last 10 games. Morehead State has led the OVC in rebounding each of the past six seasons.

    The Eagles opened on a 16-6 run and never trailed, pushing their lead as high as 16 in the second half.

    Christian Mekowulu scored 20 points to lead the Tigers (5-19, 2-7), who have lost six of eight.
