Man arrested in attempted robbery of bank in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Delaware — Newark Police have arrested a man in an attempted bank robbery.

Officers say on Sept. 25, a man entered TD Bank on East Delaware Avenue and gave a teller a note demanding money.

Authorities say the teller did not give the man money, and the man ran away through Traders Alley.

Police arrested 26-year-old Aaron Mathis of Newark of Wednesday. He is charged with attempted robbery.
