INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis attorney faces several charges of misconduct after he had two female inmates who he was representing expose themselves and perform sexual acts on him in an interview room at the Shelby County Jail, according to prosecutors.

Clark G. Rehme has been charged with three counts of sexual misconduct and one count of official misconduct.

An investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department began after an inmate told a jail officer that she didn't want to be in a room with her court-appointed attorney, who she identified as Rehme, after he had her expose her breasts and perform sexual acts on him on two occasions, court documents state. The inmate said she complied because she believed it would help her case, the documents say.

After a meeting with Rehme, the inmate provided detectives with an unwashed shirt, which showed a positive indication of bodily fluid, according to court documents.

She also told investigators that a second female inmate had inappropriate sexual discussions with Rehme, the documents state. The other inmate said that Rehme had asked for her bra sized and discussed sexual acts he'd previously done.

Both of the women who reported Rehme's behavior agreed to meet with him again so investigators could observe him acting inappropriately on camera, according to the probable cause affidavit. Investigators watched Rehme ask one of the inmates to expose herself and then move closer to him, court documents state. Jail officers were asked to intervene when investigators saw Rehme touch the woman, the documents say.

Rehme couldn't be reached for comment Monday night, The Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/1fxilAs ) reported.
