MARIETTA, Georgia — A man accused of trying to shoot at a police officer in Marietta, Georgia, has been arrested in Mississippi.
Cobb County police said Keyandre Funches was taken into custody Friday. Further details about the arrest were not immediately available.
Cobb officials said an officer responding to a reported domestic dispute chased Funches on foot in a suburb north of Atlanta on Jan. 16. Authorities said that during the chase, Funches raised a gun and tried to shoot. Police said they believe the weapon either misfired or malfunctioned.
It was not clear Friday whether Funches had a defense attorney.
He's been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, obstruction and criminal trespass.
