Paul Daniel Springer, 67, Lapel, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Community Hospital of Anderson following an extended illness. He was born on Oct. 12, 1946, in Millville, N.J. to Daniel and Lillian (Bowen) Springer.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the U. S. Independence.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marsha (Huffman) Springer; two children, Keith Allen (Melissa) Springer and Brian Brinker both of Lapel; five grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce (Tonya) and Mark Springer; his brother-in-law, Kenny (Asenith) Huffman; several nieces and nephews; very close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Rodney, Jerry, and Bill Springer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Chris Kellermyer officiating.
