John R. Beerbower
John R. Beerbower, 73, formerly of Pendleton, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1941, in Huntington to the late Kenneth M. & Mary Jane (Geseman) Beerbower.
He graduated from Huntington High School in 1959. He graduated from I.U. where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. John then received his MBA from Roosevelt University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served as a Captain in South East Asia. John retired as a plant superintendent fromGuide Lamp, having worked there for 25 years. He loved gardening and was an active vendor at Pendleton Farmer’s Market. He was a charter member of the Pendleton Jaycee’s and attended Fall Creek Christian Church.
John is survived by his wife, Linda (Martin) Beerbower; children, Brad Beerbower (Margaret) of Fishers, and Ann Beerbower Saxonis (Gregg) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Megan and Brian Beerbower, Olivia, Devan and Kai Saxonis; sister, Carole Hensel (Larry) of Tavares, FL; brother, James Beerbower (Pam) of Brownsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel.
