Margaret (Meg) Doughty, 95, passed away April 24, 2014. She was born March 4, 1919, in Pendleton, to the late Jesse and Mary (Hiatt) Stoner.
She graduated from Pendleton High School and attended the Anderson Business College. She was a farmer’s wife, a bookkeeper and basket weaver, as well as being a member of the Earth Weavers. She attended Park Chapel Church and enjoyed many crafts and sharing them with her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her children, Philip Doughty of Pendleton, Margery Ratliff of Greenfield, and Richard (Karen) Doughty of Tenn.; sisters, Loueva Hagemier and Helen (Lynn) Stanley; seven grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and six great- great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Doughty, of 66 years. They were married on Nov. 6, 1937; brothers, Horace Stoner and Laurel Stoner; sister, Kathleen Wetzel and great-granddaughter, Jessica Barnhart.
Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at the funeral home. Pastor David Woods will officiate.
