Mary Jo Cook, 77, of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born April 10, 1936, in Switzerland County, Ind., the daughter of Floyd and Thelma (Romans) Peelman. She married Donald Wayne Cook on Sept. 17, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2014.
Survivors include her sons, Alan (Karen) Scott and Bobby Joe (Donna) Cook, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Sara Faye (Hal) Webb Wooster, Ohio, Candy Long of Greenfield, Donna Jo (Michael) Johnson and Sue Cook, both of Shelbyville; sister, Sarah Keith of Vevay; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bobby Bonds.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at the funeral homes, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
