Jeremiah Michael Martin, 37, Perkinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at his home following a sudden illness. He was born on Nov. 21, 1976, in Anderson, to Jack and Donna (Hiday) Martin.

He graduated from Lapel High School in 1995. Jeremiah was employed by Filson Earth Works in Noblesville. He attended The River Church in Lapel and was a member of the Lapel-Stony Creek Fire Territory and the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625.

He is survived by the two loves of his life, Maddi and Wyatt; his mother and stepfather, Donna and Mike Lawther of Lapel; his father and stepmother, Jack and Jennifer Martin of Wabash; two sisters, Amanda (Landon) Paddock of Fishers and Baylee Lawther of Fishers; grandparents, Elizabeth Martin and Diane and Paul Lawther all of Anderson;  an uncle Gary (Cindy) Hiday of Indianapolis; special niece, Reese Robertson; and the mother of his children, Ashley.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Martin; and his grandparents, John and Betty Hiday.

Visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Tyson Priest officiated. Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Maddison and Wyatt Martin Trust Fund or to the Lapel-Stony Creek Fire Territory Building Fund.
