Floyd Douglas Long, 85, of Greenfield, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. He was born on March 14, 1928, in Liberty, Ind., the son of Elvin Lee and Ella Fern (Pritchard) Long.
He first married Alice Leora (Gates) Long and later married Marie Anthionette (Raney) Long.
He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952.
He is survived by his step-son, Richard Sipe; sons, Richard Long and David Long; step-daughters, Jane Wilcoxon and Jill Carpenter; daughters, Carol Carlisle and Nancy Meiring; brother, Allen Long; sisters, Marjorie Whistle and Doris Morris; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; first and second wife; two brothers; daughter, Susan Long; and step-daughter, Kaye Binford.
Private services are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
