Leroy Frayser, 83, a very loving and humble man, passed away at his daughter and son-in-law’s home on Dec. 5, 2013. Roy was born June 11, 1930, in Linton and was a Pendleton resident since 1952.
He retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson in 1982, after 30 years service. He owned Frayser Toy Store in the 1960’s and following retirement had a business repairing washers, dryers and lawn mowers.
Roy was a gentle soul who always saw the good in everyone and worked to help others, no matter what the need. Roy loved his family dearly and was so proud of their love for God.
He was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church in Pendleton and enjoyed golf, oil painting, camping and fishing, but most of all, Church and his love of God.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda (Danny) Schnepp of Pendleton; son, Indiana Historian, Donald (Sharon) Frayser of Fishers; grandchildren, Jeff (Katrina) Schnepp, Paul (Jessica) Schnepp, Brian (Abby) Schnepp, Donald Joseph Frayser, Amanda Frayser and Adam Frayser; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Marge) Frayser of Linton, Cecil (Karen) Frayser of Jasonville and Doris (Alvin) Clark of Linton; sisters-in-law, Donna (Jack) Burris Woodward of Sullivan and Betty Burris of Middletown; many nieces and nephews and many special friends in his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn F. (Burris) Frayser; and parents, Joseph and Mina (Foster) Frayser.
Visitation was from 4 until 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Lahm Chapel. Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Tom Wiles officiating. Burial followed in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fall Creek Christian Church, 1102 W. 700 S., Pendleton, IN 46064.
