James "Jim" Orvin Sexton, 75, of Smithville, Tenn., passed away Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013, at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, Tenn. He was born April 23, 1938, and was the son of George Monroe and Margie Sexton.

He was a clown in the Ringling Brothers and Barnem Bailey Circus from 1950-1954. He worked construction, did paint and body work on vehicles and he played professional country music for 23 years.

He is survived by his  daughters, Susie Elder, Arosealie Sexton-Hester and Marondala Tucker all from Indiana; nine grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Faye Moore and Mallie Woods and two brothers Clarence and Kenneth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arlie and Bill Sexton and a sister, Fonda Ditton.
