Charles Jacob “Jake” Renner

Charles Jacob “Jake” Renner, 100, Fishersburg, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at The Lodge at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on June 11, 1913, in Hamilton County to Earl and Goldie (Reddick) Renner.

He is survived by two children, Marlene Lackey and Dennis (Jill) Renner both of Anderson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Rex Renner of Noblesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 78 years, Carolyn (Cottingham) Renner; sister, Lavon Elkins; and brother, Macel Renner.

Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Raymond Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
