Mary Anne (Noone) Grande
Mary Anne (Noone) Grande, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospice after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of D. Joseph and Helen (McGinty) Noone.
She married James Edward Grande on Feb. 9, 1952, in Indianapolis. They were happily married for 61 years.
Mary Anne was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She was part of the Bereavement Committee, served on the Pro Life Committee, and was also a Eucharistic minister. She started a rosary education group for St. Michael’s students and taught rosary making to each grade for several years. Mary Anne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly.
Surviving her are her husband, James; children, Thomas Joseph (Arlene) Grande of Carmel, David Vincent (Joni) Grande of Indianapolis, Rosemarie (Don) Kottlowski of New Palestine, Bernadette (Larry) Von Essen of Greenfield, Maureen Grande of Indianapolis; siblings, Betty (Don) Hoffman of Indianapolis, Helen Gasper of Greenwood, Colette Philhower of New York, John Thomas (Helen) Noone of Greenwood, Kay (James) Woods of Texas, Francis (Marianne) Noone of Indianapolis, Steve (Kathy) Noone of Indianapolis, JoEllen (Ron) Eckstein of Indianapolis; thirteen grandchildren, Jackie, Mike, Brian, Laura, Ben, David, Kevin, Matt, Jill, Tommy, Vanessa, Tony, Joseph; and five great-grandchildren, Joel, Allison, Jessica, Dylan and Gabrielle.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Maxine Noone, Joy Schaedel, Vincentia Sanders; and brother, Dennis Noone.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield. Monsignor William Stumpf will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
