David W. Barrett
David W. Barrett, 52, of Pendleton, passed away Aug. 27, 2013, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1961, in Bluffton and had lived in Pendleton for the past 20 years.
He graduated from Highland High School in 1980, and received his Bachelor Degree from Ball State University. He had worked for Pay Less for 20 years and was employed with the Mentor Network. David was a member of Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, of 19 years, Susan M. Barrett of Pendleton; sons, Chris and Conner, both of Pendleton; daughters, Maddie and Ella, both of Pendleton and Jennie of Greenville, S.C.; father, Louis E. (Louise) Barrett, Sr. of Portland; brother, Louis (Lois) Barrett, Jr. of Menomonie, Wisc.; sister, Carolyn (Malcolm) Reger of Pendleton; brother, Norm (Jo) Barrett of Yorktown; aunt, Bonnie (Dexter) Bedwell of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Barrett.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson. Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Friends Cemetery in Pendleton with Rev. Doug Walker officiating.
