Melinda (Hendry) Keezer
Melinda (Hendry) Keezer, 71, died unexpectedly but peacefully April 15, 2013, at her home. She was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Ebert and Mary (Lannes) Hendry and was a Pendleton resident since 1978.
Melinda was class valedictorian of Walnut Grove High School, where she graduated from in 1959. She received her B.A. degree in microbiology from Indiana University in 1963. She was married to William S. Keezer from 1963 until 1975.
Melinda was an environmental technician from 1976 until she retired from the Heritage Group in Indianapolis. She was an avid reader and member of a local book club as well as being a nature lover and active environmentalist.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Robert Davenport of Fly Creek, NY; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, and Amanda.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
Private burial in Mendon Cemetery, south of Pendleton.
