Danny R. Neace
Danny R. Neace, age 65, of Greenfield, went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013. He was born Danny Rondall Neace on March 12, 1947 in Belcraft, Ky., to Earl and Polly (Roberts) Neice.
Danny was an avid coon hunter and would argue with anyone who would listen that he had the best dog! He won high scoring female in the 1986 World Coon Hunt with his Molly, he was very proud of her! He was instrumental in founding the “Clothe-A-Child” Auction and was very successful in helping needy families in Hancock County for over 20 years; even going as far as to sell the shoes off his feet and the shirt off his back, all to ensure children would have a good Christmas. Danny was a 34 year member of Local 103 Operating Engineers, member of the original Country Expressions Band and the Big Sky Band; he was also a member of the Greenfield Church of God. He loved to sing for the Lord and enjoyed singing for everyone, everywhere, at any time. In 2008, he was baptized in the name of Jesus. After a random act of violence in 2006 left him paralyzed, he had a broken body, but not a broken spirit.
Surviving him are his loving wife of 25 years, Joyce Colwell Neace of Greenfied; children, Daniel Ray, Gressa Riggs, Bronson (Bonnie), Carla (Kelly) Taybron and BreAnn Waters; siblings, Nancy Hogan and Corbitt (Geraldine) Neice; grandchildren, Austin and Tyler Vandervliet, Nygah and Neamiah Sandlin, Logan Neace, Antonio, Malachi, Josiaha and Xaviar Taybron, Skylar, Morgan, Olivia, Tyler, Trevor, Noah, Baily and Cooper; and 4 great-granchildren, Ivan, Ian, Ethan and Tabitha.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother; and brothers, Donnie and Earl, Jr.
