Robert L. Beitler, 81, of Pendleton, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Feb. 11, 2013, at his residence in Pendleton. He was born May 20, 1931, in Monroe, Ind., and resided most of his life in Pendleton.
Robert graduated from Monroe High School in 1949. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1990. He was a member of the Huntsville Community Church. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force.
He owned several antique cars as well as enjoyed going to car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife Julia, and socializing at The Diner in Pendleton.
Robert is survived by his loving spouse, Julia (Liechty) Beitler; his children, Richard A. (Gloria) Beitler of Sprinfield, Mo., Karen (Mitchell) Kuhns of Pendleton, Lynda (Mr.Dana) Garrett of Indianapolis, Amy Stults of Pendleton; sister, Pat (Harold) Arnold of Monroe, Ind., Judy (Mike) Haney of Kendleville, Ind.; 7 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Beitler; mother, Margaret Beitler; and a daughter, Dana Beitler.
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Stevens officiating.
Military Rites will be by the VFW, Post 266. Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendelton.
