Goldie Mae (Shull) Hallowell
Goldie Mae (Shull) Hallowell, 93, passed away peacefully at the Rawlins House in Pendleton on Jan. 29, 2013. She was born Sept. 17, 1919, the daughter of George and Hattie (Kingery) Shull of Madison County.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1937. She was a homemaker and mother.
Goldie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pendleton and a member of Pendleton Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 138.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda (David) Lineberry; 2 daughters-in-law, Barbara Hallowell and Mary E. Hallowell all of Pendleton; 5 grandchildren, G. Brandon (Janna) Hallowell of Greenville, Texas, Jeffrey S. Hallowell of Oklahoma City, Okla., Cheryl Lohman of Fishers, Jennifer (Kyle Walker) Hallowell of Indianapolis, and Christa (special friend, Kyle Robertson) Hallowell of Noblesville; 5 great-grandchildren, Brandon E. Hallowell, Ian and Kimberly Hallowell, and Abbie and Riley Lohman; sister-in-law, Martha Jane Fisher; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Hallowell; sons, David Hallowell and George Hallowell; brothers, Leslie Shull and Forest; and a nephew, Neal Shull.
Thanks to the Rawlins House for the good care Goldie received, and to those who cared for her during her illness.
Services: 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Doug Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation: 12:30 - 2 p.m., Monday prior to the service at Lahm Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 225 W. State St., Pendleton, IN 46064.
