GREENFIELD — Debbie Brashears had just raised her camera to snap a photo of her granddaughter when the tow-headed 5-year-old rushed toward her with a squeal of delight.
Avery, donning a bright yellow shirt with “Kindergarten 101” on the front, paused just long enough to pose for one snapshot before rejoining her classmates.
Twenty-three youngsters graduated Friday from K101, a free school readiness class aimed at preparing soon-to-be kindergartners for the classroom.
