Seth Eagleson’s freshman season was equal parts jubilation and disappointment. On one hand, he qualified for the regional meet via a 12th-place sectional finish. But at the regional meet, he crossed the finish line 16th, one spot shy of a semistate birth.
He would leave no regrets during his sophomore campaign, finishing 53rd at the Carmel semistate in 2011, with his time of 16:47 ranking eighth among sophomores in the race and the top time in the county.
Among the other accolades Eagleson accumulated as a sophomore were placing sixth at the Rushville Regional, third at the New Palestine Sectional and first in the Hancock County meet.
