Veteran quilters give kids some guidance on scarf project

Fall break has given many students an opportunity to try some new activities. A sewing class sponsored by the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department at the Pat Elmore Center on Thursday exposed students to a creative way of making scarves by using colorful T-shirts. Designs were cut using everyday items to make simple patterns for the project. Quilt club volunteers lent their expertise to help the kids with their projects.
