Truck driver found dead at rest stop

GREENFIELD — A truck driver who had gone missing for two days was found dead Wednesday evening in his truck at the westbound rest park on I-70 near Greenfield.

One of the investigating officers, Capt. Jim Bradbury of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department, said there appeared to be no foul play in the man's death. Personal details and those regarding his employer were being held pending notification of the man's family.

He was found by a driver for the same company who was in the area  had been instructed by his company to look for him at likely places the man may have stopped. Bradbury said the man was in his sleeping berth and apparently died in his sleep. Coronor Tamara VanGundy was called to the scene.
