Former Greenfield-Central varsity baseball coach Travis Keesling was hired by the South Madison school board, replacing longtime Pendleton Heights baseball coach Bill Stoudt.

Keesling, a 1995 Pendleton Heights graduate, was the varsity coach at G-C for five seasons. He was the Pendleton Heights freshman baseball coach from 2003-06.

“I am excited and look forward to the opportunity to go back to where I learned the game of baseball,” Keesling said. “It is an honor to continue the Pendleton Heights baseball tradition.”

Stoudt stepped down in June after 32 seasons heading the Arabians’ baseball program. Keesling played under Stoudt and was a part of Pendleton’s 1993 sectional-winning team.
