GREENFIELD — Connecting the Pennsy Trail between Cumberland and Greenfield earned financial footing Tuesday, but advocates say they’re still many steps away from breaking ground.

The Hancock County Tourism Commission committed $10,000 every year for three years to the project. The money would be used if the Sugar Creek Pennsy Trail Committee is able to obtain a federal grant for the project.
