GREENFIELD — One of Hancock County students’ favorite summertime activities became more expensive this year.
Participation fees for the county 4-H program rose this year from $10 per child to $25 per child, after a statewide $15 fee was instituted. It’s the first time the state has ever mandated a fee for 4-H participation. Previously, it was up to county programs to set their own rates.
