Greenfield — On Tuesday at Greenfield Central Junior High School, you couldn’t pass through the halls without hearing someone talking about bullying.
How to recognize it. How to stop it. What to do after you’ve been victimized. More than 700 students spent the day in interactive sessions during the anti-bullying workshop.
The event was planned by “Just Stop it,” the school’s anti-bullying club. Members of the group read a book on the topic (written by Doug Wilhelm, above) last summer and decided to invite the author to participate in a day dedicated to making school a safer place for children to grow and learn. After working with children Tuesday afternoon, Wilhelm was scheduled to lead a community forum on bullying Tuesday evening.
