NEW PALESTINE — Knowing it’s never too early to start teaching children, officials in the Southern Hancock school district have decided to start a pre-kindergarten program for the 2012-13 school year.

While Southern Hancock, Greenfield-Central and Mt. Vernon already offer preschool programs for special-needs children, SH is the first district in the county to offer a pre-kindergarden program specifically designed for the general population.
