GREENFIELD — One day before a Hancock County home was scheduled to be demolished, the county’s S.W.A.T. team took advantage of the property for special training.
The house at the southeast corner of Mt. Comfort Road and CR 300N is one of two houses being torn down to make way for the intersection’s new roundabout.
Thursday afternoon, the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team did some of the contractors work for them, starting with breaking down the front door.
Several “police training” signs posted around the area warned passersby not to be alarmed by the swarm of armed men in camo; it was only a drill.
The team is comprised from six county departments. It recently expanded to include six new members, bringing the total to 18.
