GREENFIELD — The Greenfield CVS was robbed early Thursday for the second time in less than a month.

A masked man entered the store at the corner of McKenzie Road and State Street around 3:10 a.m., pulled out a small black handgun and told a cashier at the front counter to come with him to the back of the store. There, he ordered the pharmacist at gunpoint to open the safe containing prescription medication, police said.

The robber went behind the counter and rifled through the medications kept in the safe. He took narcotics and left the remainder behind. The robber then hopped out the drive-through window and fled south, on foot.
