GREENFIELD — Singing duo The J Taylors return to once again provide entertainment after opening ceremonies for the Riley Festival, tonight in the Entertainment Tent set up at the intersection of State and South streets. Ceremonies start at 6:30 p.m., featuring the Hancock County Children’s Choir. Then the J. Jaylors take over at 7 p.m.
The duo were understandably busy this week but managed to answer a few questions via email:
Q: What brings you back to the Riley Festival?
A: “The J Taylors appreciated the warm reception Riley Festival organizers and guests gave us last year. We had a great meal at the Lincoln Square Pancake House and had an appreciative crowd for our show. We’re looking forward to an even bigger crowd and lots of fun this year!”
Q: What impressed you about the festival last year?
A: “The festival seemed well-organized. They did a great job getting ready for our show and provided everything we needed to help make the show a success.”
Q: For those who haven’t seen a J Taylors show, what can they expect tonight?
A: “Thursday’s show will be a really fun rock and country variety show, with the best of classic rock, pop and hits from legendary country singers. Marty Robbins, Johnny and June, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, George Strait, Alan Jackson and many more – no one brings ’em to life like The J Taylors! We’ll also have our Legends of Country Music CD available for a $10 donation. Anyone may check out our sound at www.thejtaylors.com. Bring the whole family for a night of great music and fun!”
