Nearly 50 high school cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state came to Greenfield during the weekend for a major competition. Sponsored by the Indiana High School Rodeo Association, the rodeo gave enthusiasts a chance to compete just like their classmates do in traditional sports.
Events over the two-day competition included barrel racing; roping; pole bending; bronc and bull riding; and steer wrestling. Students who did well at the competition will be eligible to compete in other events. Half a dozen students from Hancock County took part in the rodeo.
