The New Palestine baseball team completed a two-day sweep of Greenfield-Central on Saturday by defeating the Cougars 7-0.
NP won 10-0 on Friday night.
Reid Clark earned the win, pitching seven innings and allowing three hits and an unearned run while striking out seven. He lowered his ERA to 0.64.
Five different Dragons drove in runs. Alex Rejer was 2-for-4 with a run and Brian Page was 2-for-3 with a run. NP scored all seven of its runs in the second inning.
G-C stats were not available.
Both teams return to the diamond on Thursday. NP (11-1, 6-0 Hoosier Heritage Conference) hosts Connersville while G-C (8-6, 3-3 HHC) welcomes Knightstown.
Mt. Vernon 8, Rushville 1
The Mt. Vernon baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating Rushville 8-1 on Saturday morning.
Statistics for Mt. Vernon were not available. Rushville won 6-4 on Friday night.
MV (4-7, 1-5 HHC) hosts Carmel on Wednesday.
