Warren Central took the first set in the next three matches and had MV down 2-3, but the Marauders rallied at each slot to prevail. Caitlyn Laughlin (No. 2 singles) came back to win in three sets, as did the doubles teams of Rachael Kammerer/Ellen Wuerch (No. 2) and Kelsi Tammen/Maddie Walrod (No. 1).
“We got to play in a match that had a sectional feel. Our girls grinded out a huge win and I am very proud of them,” MV coach Gabe Muterspaugh said. “We saw a lot of heart out there and that was what we were searching for.”
