The Mt. Vernon volleyball team beat Eastern Hancock 27-25, 25-27, 25-18, 25-23 Monday.
Maddie Keerns tallied 30 digs for the Marauders. Jaclyn Bulman had 14 kills, three aces and seven digs. Emily White had 24 assists and six digs. Julia Wayer posted 17 digs and four kills.
Lauren Harmon had 15 kills and 16 digs for the Royals (2-13). Hannah Best added 24 digs. Eva Stephenson had 22 assists. Melissa Bedell tallied 10 kills and 12 digs.
New Palestine 3, Mooresville 0
The Dragons (12-10) swept Mooresville 3-0 Monday evening, winning 25-18, 25-9, 25-19.
Megan Hawley had 16 kills on 26 attempts for a strong .615 hitting percentage. She also had seven digs and three aces.
Kara Morris had 12 assists. Maddie Harper had three kills and three blocks. Jamie Morris had 13 digs and two aces. Brianna Kilgore had a strong night off the bench with two aces.
Greenfield-Central 3, Lawrence Central 1
The Cougars (10-6) won 22-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.
Caitey Sosnowski had 26 digs. Madison Wise notched eight blocks. Courtney Marchello recorded 25 assists. Rachel Irbe had 12 kills.
New Palestine 5, Warren Central 0
NP (15-2) won its 13th straight match Monday.
The singles players only lost one combined game — Brent Barrett won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1. Connor Swain and Jake Purcell were both 6-0, 6-0 victors.
At No. 1 doubles, Pete Rusche/David Thompson won 6-1, 6-3, while Ben Farley/Shayan Khokhar won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
“This is the start of a big week for us,” NP coach Chris Hardin said. “…We still continue some solid play.”

Garrett Hammond/Garek Ferguson won in two sets at No. 1 doubles, and Kirby Petry and Corbin Jennings triumphed in a three-set match at No. 2 doubles Monday.

Emily Koers and Makenzie Kelley had scores for G-C (5-9, 2-2 HHC).
New Palestine 3, Franklin 3
The Dragons (3-7-2) trailed by two goals in the first half, but scored three straight to take a lead before the Cubs forged the tie Monday.
Madison Carpenter scored a goal with five minutes left in the first half, assisted by Madison Parish, who drew the keeper out and fed Carpenter in front of an open net.
Natalie Kehrt knotted the game early in the second half on a goal assisted by Courtney Smith off a corner kick. NP took the lead when Danielle Matus put a free kick over the defense, which Parish ran onto and was able to cross before the keeper could get to it. Katie Villiger was able to finish off the play with the goal.
Franklin tied the game with a free kick late.
Greenfield-Central 2, Shelbyville 1
The Cougars (7-5, 3-2 Hoosier Heritage Conference) won 5-2 in penalty kicks Monday.
Westyn Wood had G-C’s goal in regulation.
