Yorktown, the No. 1 team in the state, ran away from the field at the Hoosier Heritage Conference girls’ golf meet Saturday at Bear Chase with a team score of 310.
The victors finished ahead of second-place Mt. Vernon (377) and Pendleton Heights (386). New Palestine (390) was fifth and Greenfield-Central (403) took sixth.
Yorktown’s Tara Clark carded a 75 to garner medalist honors.
NP’s Abby Poole (87) earned All-HHC honors with a seventh-place finish. The top eight finishers were all-conference.
MV’s Ellen Wuerch (91) and Molly Yee (92) as well as G-C’s Ali Kern (96) and NP’s Cassie Rooks (96) were Honorable Mention All-HHC (places 9-15).
On Thursday, MV is at NP while G-C is at Shelbyville.
Girls’ golf
EH 6th at North Decatur
The Eastern Hancock girls’ golf team took sixth in the seven-team North Decatur Invitational Saturday.
Connersville earned first-place honors with a 349, ahead of runner-up Batesville (364). EH posted a 447.
Rachel Boaz (103), Hailey Carlton (108) and Macy Fout (115) paced the Royals, who are at Centerville Thursday.
