Eastern Hancock’s Shelby Mourey and Greenfield-Central Maddie Wise were added to the girls track State Finals Wednesday.
Wise was fourth in the high jump (5-3) at the Ben Davis Regional Tuesday, while Wise was fifth in the 100 hurdles. The top three regional placers automatically qualiy for state.
Individuals and relays can also move on to state by meeting the 3 Participant Standard time/distance in their event.
But, if there are less than three competitors in any event meeting the 3PS, the next best regional finishers are added to bring the total of state entrants to 27 in each event, which is how Mourey and Wise qualified for state.
The performance list for the girls state meet, to be held June 6 at Indiana University, was released Wednesday. Local participants are listed by name, school, event and seed:
>> Regan Lewis, Greenfield, high jump, 8th
>> Jackie Landuyt, Greenfield, discus, 13th
