The New Palestine golf team dropped to 1-1 on the season, falling 165-199 to host and No. 7-ranked Noblesville Wednesday.
Abby Poole fired a 46 for NP. Cassie Rookie (back injury) returned to the lineup with a 49, a score matched by Carly Jones. Bailey Kamp logged a 55.
“We played a very good Lady Millers squad at their home course, Harbour Trees,” NP coach Gregg Greene said. “I thought our ball striking was very solid but we did not handle their greens very well. The girls struggled in speed and slope which resulted in timid putting strokes.”
The Dragons host the New Palestine Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Links.
